2. That movie was so trite; i feel like i've seen a thousand movies just like it.

Pronounciation:  trahyt

Where to use: This word is a pretty tricky word. I don’t think most people know what it means, so techinically you could use it anywhere, especially to impress someone with your vocabulary. The best time to use this word would be telling someone they’re trite. A lot of people wouldn’t know that they just got dissed, or got “put-down.” It might be perfect to use in a break up, telling them they’re dull, and “annoying” in a way.

Antonyms: Original is an antonym of this word. They’re practically the opposite because original is finding new things, and being a good complex thinker. A trite person is just lazy, boring and not trying to be imaginative or creative.

Synonyms: Ordinary is a perfect synonym of the word trite. They’re almost exaclty the same because they both describe  a person who is just going with the flow, not much to them. People who are both trite and ordinary are boring and dull.

Rating: I give trite 4 out of 5 stars. The reason it only has 4 stars is because I think that it’s not really understood what the meaning of the word is. I think that if people used the word more then it would have a higher rating. The fact that most people don’t know what it means, I f you can really pull off using this word, then that’s really superb.

This is an example of trite. The man was just a boring and dull man, and he went to a personality trainer. Here, the trainer is kind of confused, because the pacient has no personality, just like trite, being dull and boring.

here trite is a good word to use, because the referee calls the penalty kick to be retaken about 5 times. this is an example of it being repeated too often.
